Guitar Pickups

guitar pickups?
i have a b.c. rich beast and i want to get new pickups for it just so it will sound a tad bit better than its excellency already does. my question is if someone could specify a good neck pickup with good mids and highs for solos and lead guitar, and a good bridge pickup with deep beastly rythym and fierce growl to it. also would those two pickups even work together?
your rhythm pickup should be the neck and lead pickup should be the bridge, if im not mistaken. If you play metal/heavy rock I would suggest Seymour Duncan, they have the best pickups for pretty much any style of music, but they have particularly high output, which I would assume is key for you if you play heavy music. Ceramic magnet humbuckers like the Seymour Duncan SH-12 (Screamin’ Demon) and SH-6 would probably be best for you if that’s the case.

The 24 -inch scale length neck is made from one solid piece of mahogany, and attached to the body using a long neck tenonone of the Les Pauls more distinguishing characteristics of the 1950s. The neck is topped by a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard outfitted with acrylic trapezoid inlays matching the size of color of the originals. Also significant are two of Gibsons legendary P-90 singlecoil pickups, providing all the punch and raw power that made the 1956 Les Paul Goldtop the guitar of choice for many early electric blues players. 1959 ES-335 Dot Reissue Hollow Body Electric Guitar (Assorted Colors) $4999 Gibson has always been a guitar maker steeped in tradition. So, after revolutionizing the guitar world with the solid body Les Paul model in the 1950s, Gibson made a bold return to its roots by offering an electric guitar that encompassed the benefits of a solid body guitar, but in the image of an acoustic arch top. The result was the ES-335, which was first released in 1958, but would eventually reach its most desirable form one year later in 1959. Now, 50 years after reaching this zenith in semi-acoustic guitar design, Gibson Custom is proud to reintroduce one of the most celebrated guitars in its history, the 1959 ES-335 Dot Reissue. This limited production model from Gibson Custom captures this desirable classic in greater detail than any reissue-style guitar previously produced. It is truly an instrument born in the image of its inspiration. Starting with the traditional plain laminated maple top, back and sides, with single-ply crme binding on both the top and back, the 1959 ES-335 Dot Reissue is true to the originals 59 specs in almost every detail. 1961 SG Reissue Electric Guitar $1999 The light bulb. Television and radio. The microwave oven. Gibsons SG Standard all inspirations of genius that transformed the way we live. Gibsons redesign of the Les Paul in 1960 was a bold move. But it paid off big time. It announced a new, radical electric guitar design for Gibson, and the world. It also inspired a rebellious generation of ideas and music rarely experienced before, and certainly not since. Today, that same radical design and restless spirit lives on in Gibsons celebrated SG line. The Gibson SG 61 Reissue pays tribute to this revolutionary guitar. Its all there, in all its original glory. Transform your playing. Revolutionize your life and experience your own uprising firsthand.60s Slim-Taper Neck ProfileNo guitar neck profiles are more distinguishable than the neck profiles employed on the Gibson models of today. The 60s neck profilefound on the SG 61 Reissueis the more modern, slim-tapered neck most commonly associated with the Les Paul and SG models of the early 1960s. The neck is machined in Gibsons rough mill using wood shapers to make the initial cuts. But once the fingerboard gets glued on, the restincluding the final sandingis done by hand. That means there are no two necks with the exact same dimensions. So while it still has the basic characteristics of its respective profile, each neck will be slightly different, with a distinct but traditional feel. Trapezoid Inlays The classic trapezoid inlay is one of the most distinguishable features of many traditional Gibson models, including the SG. A figured, swirl acrylic gives these inlays that classic pearl look. They are inserted into the fingerboard using a process that eliminates gaps and doesnt require the use of fillers.TWO 57 Classic Pickups Among the qualities that make Gibsons original Patent Applied For humbucking pickups so unique are the subtle variations between coil windings. For the first few years of their production1955 to 1961Gibsons PAF humbuckers were wound using impreci |
