Donald Yanko formed his speed shop from a dealership of Chevrolet in 1947. Don was very fond of Chevy cars and he specialized in automobiles which were high speed. He modified Vegas, Camaros and Novas and he allowed the customers to order speed parts from his shop or he along with his team would modify the cars on his own. He built the first muscle car in 1967 but this production slowed down in 1970 and he finally stopped in 1972. He tested the cars by dropping 427 cubic inch cubes in a way the car manufacture would be scared to do. Though he stopped making the muscle cars, they still can be seen at the car shows and are liked by all. |
