Looks like Britney Spears in in the news again.

There was a nasty rumor going around that she nabbed a few freebies during the Teen Choice Awards.

If these rumors were anything to go by, she was digging into the swag, paying no heed to her little ones and her kids were nasty little brats. Like I said, that turned out to be a rumor.

Quite a few sources pointed out that a) Britney Spears was not hogging freebies, b) she was a good mommy throughout, c) and that her boys didn't swear at anyone.

Someone actually said that her kids stole drum sticks. Why would anyone do that? It's usually distributed freely at such events at any case.

It seems like these were just some malicious gossip.

Not sure if there is any truth to this next one though.

Apparently Britney did go on a spending spree, splashing out a hefty $3 000 at a store. And this was not one whole day of shopping either!

That's not the best news to hear in the current economy, is it?

On the other hand, life seems more on track for her right now. She has started recording recently which is a good sign.

And it seems like she dating someone new. Maybe she is finally putting an end to late night driving and running traffic lights?

Domestic bliss + smooth sailing career? Perhaps she is finally making that big step from being troubled teen icon to mature woman?

As it is, she was given an achievement award recently. Admittedly, the award had a rather vague name "the Ultimate Choice Award".
