Chicken Adobo

I am always up for trying out new dishes. I love to cook so I am always on the lookout for something exciting. Who wants to cook the same thing every night? Boring! So I decided that I am going to try Adobo. What is it you ask? Adobo is Spanish for the word seasoning or marinade. Well let me say I am going to try Chicken Adobo. The recipe contains the following:

1 whole chicken (cut into eighths)
1 whole garlic (chopped)
olive oil or vegetable/corn oil
1 tsp ground black pepper
4 whole black pepper cloves
3 dried bay leaves
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup vinegar
**7up/sprite
**1 whole lemon (cut into 4)

Remember to wash your chicken very well. We recommend using the lemon (in ingredients) to scrub all over the chicken parts and rub some salt into it as well.
Heat oil and add all of the garlic, and cook until garlic is lightly browned. Add chicken and saute until the chicken is beginning to tenderize.
Add ground black pepper, whole black pepper cloves, soy sauce, and vinegar, and let simmer for 25-35 mins or until chicken is done.
Make sure to add more vinegar or soy sauce until it suits your taste (should be a bit tangy). When chicken is tender, add some 7 up if you want a sweeter taste, and let simmer for 5 more mins.
Serve over rice।

I am getting hungry just thinking about this. Yes , I will definitely be making this. This is how its supposed to come out.

Tom Kitten: The Second Coming

Well it looks like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes seem to be working on an extra addition to their family. Baby Suri is going to have a little brother or sister soon.I'm sure they are working on it. “She said she’s got the itch,” said the insider. “Now that Suri is more toddler than baby, she said she misses having an infant in the house. And, of course, she thinks Suri would make a great big sister.”

I think Suri is the cutest thing ever. Tom seems to think its a good idea: “He said if Katie wants to make another baby, she doesn’t have to ask twice. He always wanted more. It was Katie who has been holding off. Until now.”

We will be keeping up with this story to see if Katie Holmes will in fact rejoin the ever growing baby boom that is going on in Hollywood.

VIBE and EBONY May 2008

Chris Brown makes his appearance on the cover of Ebony Magazine. This is the May 2008issue where Chris talks about life, growing up, and the ever obvious relationship he has going with Rihanna. Yea but he won't admit it and we all know what's really going on. Don't you just hate it when celebrities will not just admit the truth? That is the most annoying thing ever. Check out the issue up with the shirtless Chris Breezy on it (not that the boy has a body).






In other news we have Ms. Mimi herself. She has a hot new album, new marriage, and YES she did get a pre-nup! Well she is not as dumb as we thought she was. She is gracing the cover of VIBE mag for the June 2008 issue. When it comes to music, this woman can do no wrong. When it comes to photo shoots and her body, photo shoppers can do no wrong. We all know full well that she does not look like this in reality. I would look like a model too if somebody digitally enhanced my body.

Scarlet And Ryan are Getting Hitched

And I am pissed! Look at this man....

But I must admit, if it had to be anyone to take the Blade 3 bachelor, I'm glad it was her. Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds have only been dating for 1 year ( they are still in the honeymoon period) but it seems that love is fresh in the air. There is no wedding date set as of yet but I wish the beautiful couple all the best!
