I have never been fishing but my grandfather is an avid fisher. He likes to go out in the open sea and fish. Most of the time he takes my uncles and my brothers with him and sometimes my father goes but not that often. At one point, thats all we used to buy him is fishing rods. We all had no idea that there was such a big variety of fishing rods. I mean eventually we just ran out of fishing rods to get and he had to get his own room full of fishing rods. I can say this though, we never have to buy another fishing rod again.
