I just hate the headlines for today - the keywords seem to be Christian Bale allegedly assaults mom and/or sister.

I suppose it is big news and thus everyone will cover it, whilst phrasing the headlines in their own tactful ways. I mean, here I am talking about the supposed 'assault' as well.

Basically, Christian Bale might have assaulted momsy and sister in a trendy suite in Dorchester Hotel. He was questioned by police over the charges and released on bail. Released to attend premiere and reports state that Bale cooperated fully with police and talked through incident thoroughly. 

"Mr. Bale, who denies the allegation, cooperated throughout, gave his account in full of the events in question, and left the station without any charge being made against him by the police," his lawyers said.

How bad could it have been? Why is everyone making a big case out of this? 

Christian Bale is one of the stars of the most talked about movie in the past few months - Dark Knight - and thus, it should come as no surprise that any news about him might be blown way out of proportion.

For instance, TMZ hints that the so-called assault might have been nothing more than verbal assault - something that is still a touchy topic in England.
 
Alright, shooting off a foul mouth is not very becoming and probably don't make you look very nice, but then there's no call for a media circus, going wild about possibly physical injury.

No one has said that outright but you gotta shake your head at the way news sites are quick to link the man to 'disturbing' movies like American Psycho and The Machinist. And some people chirp up and point out that he moved around a lot as a kid. hence, uprooted childhood = unsettled psyche??! Aren't we reaching abit for content.

There were some tabloids that are hinting at problems in Christian Bale's marriage. It's quite sad that his whole life will now be under scrunity and make life harder for him, all because of one misunderstood incident.
