![]() After weeks of rumors about Edward Norton being an Incredible Sulk, the Death to Smoochy actor has decided to clear the air. Through a concise and uber-professional email. No room for misinterpretation there, the man seems to be keeping press at bay.
Here's an extract from the note featured in EW: “I grew up reading Marvel Comics and always loved the mythic dimension and contemporary themes in the stories, and I’m proud of the script I wrote. In every phase of production, including the editing, working with Louis Leterrier has been wonderful...I've never had a better partner, and the collaboration with all the rest of the creative team has been terrific ... Regrettably, our healthy process, which is and should be a private matter, was misrepresented publicly as a 'dispute,' seized on by people looking for a good story ....” Let's recap on the feud rumors. Apparently Marvel wanted to jazz up the movie into a sleek, non-stop action sort of debacle. And after several moments of shocked pause, the director Leterrier and Norton fought to reel in a bit of quality storyline to the superhero flick. You know, really get to know the inner Hulk as opposed to a movie made up of innumerable instances of “Watch Hulk Run Through Walls”. For now, it looks like they've made peace. Or perhaps Marvel is worried about a poor turn-out if superb actor like Norton deems it a fiasco? Let's watch and see.
