Metal Cutting

What do you call a person who bends sleek, smooth steel to his/her will? No, not Magneto but a machinist.

A machinist cuts, mold and teases metal into various forms. If they want to take their trade a bit further and specialize, they will be called a fitter.

What are the tools of the trade? Drills, grinders, borers, lathes and mills! Each has its own purpose and makes the machinist's life that much easier.

You have to be on your toes to be a machinist. Note the thickness of the metal, maintain the correct temperature and be savvy about the durability of the metal.
